As the H1N1 vaccine is received by the Mount Olive Township Health Department and in compliance with the CDC directive, clinics will be offered to ONLY those individuals in the initial priority target groups. Those groups consist of the following:
• Pregnant Women
• People who live with or provide care for an infant younger than 6 months.
• Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel.
• People 6 months to 24 years of age.
• People 25 to 64 years of age who have certain medical conditions that put them at a higher risk for influenza related complications.
For information regarding additional clinics in the Morris County area, go to www.morrishealth.org. or www.nj.gov/health.
As a reminder to prevent the spread of the illness and reduce the risk of getting sick, please continue to do the following:
1. Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and frequently.
2. Cover coughs and sneezes.
3. Stay home when you’re sick until the fever is gone for 24 hours without taking fever reducing medication.
