Thank you

Dear Friends, Neighbors, Co-Workers, Volunteers, Area Businesses, Clubs & Organizations and Residents:

Wow, What a week! Thank you all so much for making the Mt. Olive Carnival and Community Week outstanding! Our goal in hosting the event was to bring our community together for fun, laughter and a good time - and that is exactly what happened - Thank You! Every comment I heard was so positive about the event. It takes phenomenal teamwork, enthusiasm and dedicated effort to make a week like this work. The residents, local organizations and sponsor businesses all really enjoyed themselves, what a great community, and what a great team! I'd also like to thank the Our Town Magazine for all their hard work in publishing photos, event information, giving us center page spreads, designing our program, giving us sponsor leads and well as tremendous moral support! In addition, I'd like to thank the Mt. Olive Chronicle and the Daily Record and the Mt. Olive Weekly for stories about the week, as well as WRNJ 1510 for the announcements. We have a long list of supporters to thank who helped make this Community Week possible. Please read the Special Thanks article and when you see someone on this list, let them know what a great time you had! Again, thank you all for making this event so wonderful!

Of course, we've already started planning for next year! So mark your calendar now for next year's event - the 4th Annual Mt. Olive Community Week & Carnival scheduled
Wednesday - Sunday, July 15- 19, 2009! We want to make this event even better for next year.

We would like your suggestions too. Please fill out an evaluation form about the event(see below). We gladly welcome you to participate on any of the planning committees or volunteer event staff for next year's event.

Sincerely,

Jill K. Daggon
Recreation Supervisor

SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES, VOLUNTEERS AND MUNICIPAL SERVICES WHO MADE MT. OLIVE WEEK AND COMMUNITY DAY POSSIBLE!

Once again, I'd like to thank all the people who made this event possible (please visit our Many Thanks page on our web site for the full list of organizations and businesses that made Mt. Olive Police Department, Budd Lake Fire Department, Budd Lake First Aid & Rescue Squad, Flanders Fire & Rescue, Mt. Olive Department of Public Works, Mt. Olive Parks, Buildings & Grounds, Mt. Mountain Top Church did a phenomenal job of planning and hosting the Friday night "It's Shore Thing" activities with a dunk tank, "sumo wrestling", games, music and great food, including a pig roast provided by Norris Deli. Combat Sports USA had a great laser tag set-up on Thursday. Although rain on Sunday delayed the start of the DooWop concert starring The Cameos, those who were brave enough to join us by the gazebo, really enjoyed the music! The Classic Cars were proudly displayed by local aficionados.

Fabulous Food was provided by: Alex's Lemonade, Augustine's Waffles, Cliff's Ice Cream, Donny G's Festival Foods, Fresco, Gina Foods, Little Jimmy's Italian Ice, PZ Food Concession, Tasty Kettle Corn, Texas Smokehouse BBQ, Tony's Hot Dogs, Wild Bill's Old Fashioned Sodas, and Zeppoles by Mario & Anthony.
