Reading Program - 2008
 Join
Mount Olive Public Library’s Summer Reading Program
and “Catch the Reading Bug”! We have many fun
events planned beginning with the Kick-off
Registration, Tuesday, June 24th from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
Children from 2 years old through 5th grade may register,
and they are invited to bring a T-shirt to decorate. The
grand finale of the program, “Backyard Bug Bash,”
will be held on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:00 p.m.

The Mount Olive Township Police Department holds many
special activities that people of all ages can participate
in. To find out what exciting events they have planned

The Mt. Olive PAL will be hosting a night of Professional
Wrestling on April 19th at the MOHS.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTER TRIATHLON
Saturday, September 27th, 2008
Three different courses for three different athletes!
Elite Triathlon –
a tougher course for the trained athlete
Mountain Bike - 8.5 miles
Canoe- 2.5 miles – back on Budd Lake!
Run - 3.1 miles
Tri It On Triathlon –
a fun course for the weekend athlete
Mountain Bike – 4.0 miles
Canoe – 1/2 mile – back on Budd Lake!
Run – 3.1 miles
Kids Triathlon –
a special event geared for 6 to 11 year olds
Bike – ¼ mile to ¾ mile
Run – 50-100 meters
Obstacle Course – jump, crawl, climb
Outdoor Movie Night
THURSDAY, JULY 31st, 2008
Movie: Madagascar
Time:
Attendees should arrive between 7:30 – 8:15pm
Movie will begin at sundown (approx 8:30pm)

Turkey Brook Park – Softball Fields
50 Flanders Road, Mount Olive, NJ 07828
Tickets:
$5 per adult and $3 per child ages 3-12 years old
if pre-purchased by July 28th, 2008.
$8 per adult and $5 per child ages 3-12 years old
if purchased at the gate.
Children under the age of 2 attend free
Details:
Please bring blankets & lawn chairs
Seating is first come, first served
Face Painting, Crafts, Chances to get your child’s
image on the BIG screen & MORE!
RAIN OR SHINE!!
In case of rain car radios will be used and
the event will become a true drive-in format!

This section is for any group or organization that would
like to begin a special event in Mt. Olive Township. Please
read the information carefully and be sure to get all
departments to sign off on the appropriate sections of
the form. All questions can be answered by the Recreation
Department.
