This program (of which Mt. Olive Township is a member),
provides recreational services for people of all ages

PEAK (sponsored by Mt. Olive Recreation)
is a group of parents coming together to give children
with differences an equal opportunity to be exposed to
a wide range of recreational activities from sports
to the arts and everything in between.
All children are entitled to learn, play
and socialize in a way that fits their individual needs.
It is our mission to ensure that the special needs children
of Mt. Olive are given this opportunity.

Karate'-do
For
special needs children K-5th grade
- Teach all relevant information and methods
of self defense, complex and non complex skills.
- Administer specific strategies for improving
behavior in children.
- To have model students attend the classes
for positive reinforcement.
- Use specific tools and techniques to
help the children develop their motor skills and coordination.
Dates: 11 Mondays, Oct. 6-Dec.22(no
class 10/20)
Location: Long Valley Presbyterian Church, 39 Bartley
Road, Long Valley
Time: 4:30-5:30pm or 5:30-6:30pm
Fee: $10 registration fee, $110 class fee.
Uniform optional: approx. cost $20-$27.
Students are responsible for ordering their own white
uniform & belt. Suggested sources: Karate

Preschool Playgroup
Calling all preschool kids! Come play
with us! Are you looking for a way to help your child
learn those social cues and have a little fun while doing
it? Well, we're starting a play group just for preschoolers!
Starting in June we will be meeting at
a different local park every Friday at 5:00pm. Siblings
are welcome! If you're interested please fill in the form

Dates:Sept.28-Nov. 16
Location: Flanders Park Soccer Field
Time: Sundays,1-2pm (ages 3-9) and 2-3pm (ages
10-14)
Fee: $10 registration fee, $80 for 8 week session
Please Note: Dress appropriately for the
weather. Make sure to bring plenty
of fluid and a little snack to eat in case hunger strikes
during the session! Shin guards
are highly recommended and can be purchased at any sporting
goods store.
Please bring your own ball if possible.

Friday, Sept 26th 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Ages 8 & up Location: CMS Cafeteria $10 fee
Learn what it's like to have a disability and how to break
the communication barrier with those that do! Qualifies
for volunteer and professional hours.
