The Boys' & Girls’ season is March 1 to June 15.

Competitive travel teams for boys in grades 4 - 8 are established by January so don’t miss out; teams will close at 25 registrants.
Girls Teams grades 5/6 or 7/8
If there is enough interest for Girls grade 4 , teams will be established.

 

Open enrollment for boys & girls is December 6, 2008 from 9 -2 at the MTO Middle School

 

Registration fee for the boys’ is $140.00 per child/Girl’s registration fee is $110.00 per player. Discounts available for multiple children.Fees after December 31, 2008 boys, $155 & girls $130.

Grades 2 & 3 boys may register for weekly teaching clinic
with
Inter-squad and limited inter-town play.
All equipment provided for clinic!
Clinic runs April - June for $75.00 per player registration.

Babe Ruth Baseball has been Incorporated since 1971, offering baseball on a regulation field (90 foot bases) (60 foot 6 inches for pitching), and is one of the first team to be in rolled with District 7 of Babe Ruth. Our games are played throughout the county and recently extended into Warren and Sussex. Our game schedule requires playing on weekends as well as during the week. Night games are also scheduled in Blairstown and this year in Roxbury.

We divide the league into an A and B Group, A comprising 14 and 15 year olds and B 13 year olds or first year players.

Our Senior Program consists of 16 to 18 year olds playing throughout Northern New Jersey.

Our Mission: MOSC is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization providing soccer instruction and competition for over 900 children in Mount Olive and surrounding communities in both Fall and Spring Seasons. The club is divided into a Travel Program for boys and girls ages 8 and up and an Instructional Program for boys and girls ages 5-13. A 9 member Board of Directors, and a large group of dedicated managers coordinate the activities of the MOSC

Mt. Olive Jr. Wrestling

The Mount Olive Junior Wrestling Association is forming the Tri County Varsity/JV and the Clinic team for the 2008-2009 season. From K-8th grades, all beginners, experienced and advanced wrestlers are welcome. Our focus is on basic techniques & skill development of folk style/scholastic wrestling. Wrestlers compete by weight class & experience. We sponsor a novice tournament and participate in many other wrestling events throughout the season.-The season starts early November and ends late February.

Clinic: K-3rd grade - practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7:30 PM and participate in the Warren-Hunterdon-Morris League.

JV & Varsity: 4th-8th grade - practices are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 6-8 PM and compete in the Tri County Wrestling League (www.tcwl.com).

The US Sports Institute Sports Squirts Program has been designed to introduce young children to a variety of sports in a safe, structured environment. All games and activities will encompass hand/eye coordination, balance, agility and movement – all key factors to the early development of children in sport. In addition to having a great time playing the different sports, children will develop social interaction and communication skills. All sports are developed through a series of games and activities designed to ensure learning and most importantly: fun, fun, fun!

Activities will vary dependant on location but will typically include: Hand - eye coordination / movement / coordination activities, Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse and Softball. Programs typically runs for 7 weeks and each session is one hour in length unless stated otherwise.

The Mt. Olive Junior Cross Country team

Starting their 33rd season starting this August 15th.
The team will be holding open sign-ups from now through the start of practices in August. A parents’ meeting will be held in conjunction with the first practice at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 15th at Mount Olive High School.

Volleyball

Join the 24 million Americans who play volleyball! Mt. Olive Volleyball will hold registration for 4-12th grade boys and girls at the Mt. Olive Middle School Gym Lobby from 7-9pm on Weds and 10-1pm on Saturdays in January.

Matches, Open Gyms and Skills Clinics will be held at the Middle School from March through June.
Registration Fee of $55.00 ($45 for 2nd child, $40 for 3rd) includes a T-shirt and Skills Clinics.

The 7 week program at the Golf Zone on Rt. 206 south in Flanders
will include Short Game ( putting), short game (chipping), short game (pitching),
full swing (set up and grip), full swing (stance and posture),
full swing (set up and alignment), etiquette (proper behavior).

Cost: Registration - $160.00

Sessions may be altered and the curriculum changed by the instructor based on the needs of the class.
Class minimum per class is 4, maximum 8.
Instructional clinics are 1 hour long: (Class size limited)

Who: Mt. Olive Recreation Department is offering this summer basketball camp to all boys and girls entering Grades 3 through 9

What: An opportunity to learn basketball skills and drills. This is a great way to continue to develop the skills you want for the upcoming Season.

When: July 27 - 30 (Monday to Thursday, no camp on Friday)

Time: 9am to 3pm

Where: Mt Olive High School Aux Gym, park in back lot.
Fee: $140.00 per Camper includes T-Shirt

Jamie Ciampaglio is a former 1st Team All-State High School player from Morris
Knolls High School who later went on to star at Wagner College for P.J Carlesimo. Coach Ciampaglio completed his college career becoming New York / New Jersey / Metropolitan College Division I player of the year. After College he coached Division One Basketball for 14 years at Boston University, The University of Rhode Island and The University of Texas. He has worked with some of the best College Coaches such as Rick Pitino currently coaching at Louisville. Jamie has owned and operated numerous
Boys and Girls Basketball camps throughout his career.
